Friday, May 4, 2012 at 12:54PM Over the next few days, we'll be posting our coverage of Anime Central 2012. In the meantime, some quick thoughts:
PROS
Great guests and bands. Much better (Read: more recent) stuff on the buying floor. Nice lineup of DJs. Good organization of the Cosplay shoots. Nice array of viewing titles. Guidebook was incredibly helpful.
CONS
Fire alarm! Masquerade got massacred. IRT was more difficult to deal with than usual. No AMV contest! And most of all, the timing was terrible on all the main events... stuff running 2+ hours behind. Kind of hard to organize your day with the schedule being that messed up.
So, stay tuned for our full coverage. First up, enjoy this lovely recap video by our own Rewby-

Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:31PM You may not know Michael Sinterniklass by the above picture, but there's a pretty good chance you've heard his voice. Michael is an accomplished voice actor, ADR director, and writer, most recently known as the voice of Dean Venture on Adult Swim's ridiculously funny The Venture Bros. and Leonardo in the 2003 version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. As a voice director, he has a long list of anime credits under his belt including Berserk, Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, and Slayers Revolution. Michael was a guest at Anime Central in Rosemont, IL and met with the press to answer some questions. Here's a quick recap...

Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 8:47PM With the recent success of films like Spirited Away and Ponyo, Western society’s view of anime has gone from ‘fear and confusion’ to ‘tenuous acceptance’, and as such, attendance at anime conventions has grown every year. This weekend, Anime Central will be rocking the ‘burbs of Chicago. For those attending, we here at Roboguzu feel it is our need, nay, our calling to help you not be an asshole. Here are some helpful tips for you, whether you be an old-school hardcore otaku, a new anime fan, or a telekinetic teddy bear.
