For those of you that don’t already know (and shame on you), 8 Bit Weapon consists of Seth and Michelle (ComputeHer), talented chiptune artists that create original songs and awesome remixes using classic gaming rigs, such as Game Boys, Ataris, and the like. I’ve had the opportunity to see them live a few times, and they never disappoint. Go ahead and get yourself familiar.
Power Gig (con’t)

One of the most interesting approaches Power Gig makes to the music game genre is the drums… instead of four pads, you have a base with four light sensors that you place on the ground, and to drum, you wave the stick over the correct sensor. It’s an odd sensation, and isn’t quite as accurate as one would hope, though there still may be some tweaks before release. These drums would be great for someone who is trying to play quietly, and the small size is great for someone whose game area is already cluttered with various plastic instruments. However, if air drumming isn’t your style, and you need the tactile sensation of a drum head, this kit just won’t do.

E3 Impressions - Hands On, Day 1

Assuredly, anyone reading this blog has already gotten most of their big E3 news from one of the main gaming sites, or from G4 or Spike. This weekend, Anime Central will be rocking the ‘burbs of Chicago. For those attending, we here at Roboguzu feel it is our need, nay, our calling to help you not be an asshole. Here are some helpful tips for you, whether you be an old-school hardcore otaku, a new anime fan, or a telekinetic teddy bear.

I will say I am a big enough fan that I got a tattoo of the Hyrule shield, arrows, and the Goron swords on my back but you know, whatever. Now most of you have probably never heard of this game. It was one of the most underrated games of its time but also one of the greatest. When I first played the game I was very young and still very new to the video game world. I didn't hear about the game in a magazine or on TV or anything of that nature. One day my sisters and I found it in a video store down the street and thought "A game with a picture of the world on it? Well that looks interesting!" That's pretty much how I rented all my games at the time. We are a society of dual incomes, families scraping by paycheck to paycheck, and so it happens that sometimes the kids just get plopped in front of Nickelodeon while mommy works late and daddy weeps softly into his ketchup and gin. This is hardly a new phenomenon…perhaps I myself can only name a handful of presidents (Lincoln, Washington, Grover ‘Steamer’ Cleveland, Harriet Tubman, Bruce Springsteen, Col. Mustard, etc.), but I can name every Thundercat, Fraggle, and Care Bear, and that’s including the Cousins. As such, I can afford our friend television a certain amount of variance in degrees of quality in children's programming. For each quality show like Yo Gabba Gabba and Spongebob, there’s going to be a Caillou and Oobi. However, there is one show that I feel falls outside of these dispensations.
